Students, staff and community members donated 57 pints of blood on Wednesday at Â鶹ӰÒô High School’s third and final blood drive of the school year, potentially saving up to 171 lives!
Superintendent Joseph Hochreiter, Board of Education Secretary Sridar Chittur, Ph.D. and Liz Powell (Class of 2022 and former student blood drive coordinator) were among the people who rolled up their sleeves to donate.
Due to the success of the blood drives this school year, senior blood drive coordinator Elyse Roepe will receive a $1,000 scholarship from the Red Cross. She’ll attend the University of Rochester in September.
Congratulations to Roepe, fellow blood drive coordinator Jakiem Walden and faculty adviser Alicia Abdul for their great work this year!
