Â鶹ӰÒô High School is reviewing its security procedures after a knife was discovered during an altercation between two students Tuesday afternoon.

Â鶹ӰÒô High implemented security measures for about 90 minutes Tuesday, including a precautionary lockdown from approximately 12:50-1:35 p.m., following the altercation.

Following the lockdown, the school transitioned to hold-in-place procedures until resuming regular operations at about 2:15 p.m.

Â鶹ӰÒô High is continuing to review the incident and its security procedures.

"The safety and security of all of our students and employees is critically important throughout our school district," said Superintendent Kaweeda G. Adams. "We are reviewing all aspects of Tuesday's incident and will address the need for any new procedures that we determine are necessary."
