Students in Theresa Story’s film class at Â鶹ӰÒô High School spent Tuesday learning from the pros (and our community partners!) at Channel Â鶹ӰÒô Community Media, the local public access television studio.
Students Victoria Suarez and Barbara Kirchgraber interviewed Channel Â鶹ӰÒô’s Qaadir Islam, and there will be an edited version of their video airing soon on Channels 1301, 1302 and 1303 on Spectrum.
Studio Coordinator Aprecia “Preem” Cabey welcomed the class, and students had a chance to experience filming and producing a segment. They also met retired Â鶹ӰÒô High Principal Dale Getto, who serves on the studio’s Public, Education and Government Access Oversight Board.
Joining Story and her class were Lindsay Simmons, work-based learning coordinator and business teacher at Â鶹ӰÒô High.
