As we monitor daily developments in Â鶹ӰÒô County related to COVID-19, the City School District of Â鶹ӰÒô is continuing to move forward with our current instructional models, including the in-person options in place for students and families.
As we shared earlier this week, we also are continuing to prepare for the possibility that COVID-19 cases could reach a level that would require a switch to virtual instruction for all of our students.
With that in mind, we will be sending our in-person students at all grade levels home with instructional materials Thursday and Friday. Teachers have “grab and go bags” ready for each student, containing textbooks, workbooks, print materials and supplies.
We anticipate continuing in our current instructional models Monday and Tuesday of next week, including in-person attendance, but students may keep their materials at home until we return from Thanksgiving Recess on Monday, Nov. 30.
As a reminder, there is no school next Wednesday, Nov. 25, for parent-teacher conferences. If you have not already scheduled a meeting with your child’s teacher for that day, please contact your school to do so. Parent-teacher conferences are an important part of the home-school partnership, and a valuable way for us to work together to support student success.
“Everyone is encouraged to stay safe, and continue to follow all required COVID-19 precautions at school and at home,” said Superintendent Kaweeda G. Adams. “This is critical now more than ever. We all must work together to make sure we can maintain quality learning opportunities for our children.”
