Principal Cascone now leading our Superstars!

Sheridan Prep's new principal helps a student with a letter assignment.

Tina-Marie Cascone took over as principal here at Sheridan Preparatory Academy on Jan. 2.

Cascone served as Sheridan Prep’s assistant principal since 2017. Prior to joining the administrative team here, she was the home school coordinator at Thomas O’Brien Academy of Science and Technology. Cascone holds an associate’s degree in criminal justice from Hudson Valley Community College and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University at Â鶹ӰÒô. She also has school counseling and school building leader certifications from The College of St. Rose.

"In this new role, I am looking forward to spending more time in all our classrooms and watching all the magical things the students are doing every day," said Cascone.

  • Favorite subject in school: Social Studies
  • Favorite children’s book: When I was a kid, I loved The Giving Tree but once I became an educator and had kids of my own, it's definitely the Pete the Cat series
  • Favorite food: I LOVE desserts!
  • Favorite school lunch: Cheesy breadsticks (they're on the menu for this Friday)

Cascone replaced Zuleika Sanchez-Gayle, who is now the City School District of Â鶹ӰÒô’s new early childhood director. The search for a new assistant principal is currently underway.
