
Hall of Fame
The City School District of Â鶹ӰÒô established the Hall of Fame in 2009 to recognize accomplished graduates, exceptional district staff people and community members whose efforts support Â鶹ӰÒô's public schools.
Criteria
Nominees must meet the criteria in one of the following categories:
Any person who has been a loyal and devoted supporter of the district’s athletics or academics for a minimum of 10 years. This category might include assistant coaches, staff, scorers, Â鶹ӰÒô Booster Club or media people, for example. The inductee may be either living or deceased.
Athletic Achievement
Any former Â鶹ӰÒô school district student-athlete who distinguished themself in their sport(s) and lettered at the varsity level. Must be a graduate of one of the high schools that served the district through the years -- Â鶹ӰÒô High School, and the former Philip Schuyler High School and Street Academy of Â鶹ӰÒô -- and out of school for at least five years. Nominees must be, or have been a credit to their family, country and Â鶹ӰÒô. The inductee may be either living or deceased.
Professional Achievement
Any former Â鶹ӰÒô school district student who distinguished themself with excellence and acknowledged leadership in their chosen field. Must be a graduate and out of school for at least five years. Nominees must be, or have been a credit to their family, country and Â鶹ӰÒô. The inductee may be either living or deceased.
Humanitarian Achievement
Any former Â鶹ӰÒô school district student who distinguished themself with excellence and acknowledged leadership in service to the community. Must be a graduate and out of school for at least five years. Nominees must be, or have been a credit to their family, country and Â鶹ӰÒô. The inductee may be either living or deceased.
Administrators, Coaches, Teachers, Staff Members
A nominee must have been an administrator, coach, teacher or staff member within the Â鶹ӰÒô school system for minimum of 10 years and must have distinguished themselves by demonstrating exceptional leadership, character and achievement during his/her tenure in Â鶹ӰÒô. The inductee must be inactive to be eligible for consideration. The inductee may be either living or deceased.
