Coming up in March, the Â鶹ӰÒô High FIRST Robotics Team #1493 will take a deep dive into the 2025 FIRST Robotics Competition REEFSCAPE presented by Haas Game Animation.
On Saturday, Jan. 4, the was announced. It is an ocean-themed competition pitting two competing alliances against each other as they direct their robot to score coral, harvest algae and attach to the barge before time runs out!
On Monday, Jan. 6, approximately 25 Â鶹ӰÒô High students gathered for a day-long strategy and brainstorming session, mapping out and presenting potential designs and features for the robot they will invent and build for the upcoming competition. With plenty of pizza and snacks on-hand, the club members had animated and insightful discussions as they started to formulate their initial vision for the robot they will create together. The world is their oyster—pun intended—so the challenge today was to thoroughly explore their options before narrowing down first steps in the inventive process.
