Outdoor track and field athletes are off to the races!

On Wednesday evening, the Â鶹ӰÒô High outdoor track and field athletes showcased their talent and determination at against Colonie and Columbia, delivering impressive performances that left our Falcon fans pumped for upcoming competitions!

Despite the brisk conditions, our student-athletes stayed focused and determined—we are incredibly proud of the their results!


Varsity boys’ team:

Senior Daaron Harrell stole the show with a stunning time of 11.15 seconds in the 100m dash, obliterating his previous personal record of 11.49! Harrell's momentum continued as he achieved another personal best of 22.77 seconds in the 200m dash, significantly improving from his earlier best of 23.01.

Our Falcons on the 4x800 team—Noah Bizer, Cameron Volk, Karim Hassy and Thierry Nkurunziza—demonstrated remarkable endurance and teamwork, claiming first place with a time of 8:42.73!

In the 400m dash, Harrell and Samir Gardner showcased their speed, finishing strong in first and second place, respectively, with times of 51.69 and 51.81.


Varsity girls’ team:

Senior Annabelle DiStefano delivered an outstanding first-place performance in the 3000m, finishing with a time of 11:41.99—over eight seconds ahead of the runner-up from Colonie! Senior Madeline "Madge" Penna also topped the charts, sprinting through the 400m hurdles and crossing the finish line at 1:12.72.

Sophomore Evelyne Agogo made her mark by securing second place in the 200m dash with a remarkable time of 27.35 seconds.

Our 4x800m relay team—Madeline "Madge" Penna, Juliana Mullin, Janie Hallgren and Annabella DiStefano—wowed us with a victorious first-place finish, clocking in at 10:27.17!


Join us in cheering on our Falcons as they face off against Averill Park at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15. With their incredible momentum this season, we are excited to see how they will continue to shine!
