News

  • There is no school April 14-18 - have a happy and healthy Spring Break!
     
  • Our New York State ELA assessments will now take place May 5-6. Details about the new dates can be found on the district website.
     
  • A note from Admin: as we begin Quarter 4, please be reminded - per the grading policy shared on all course syllabi at the start of the school year - students will receive their actual grade for this marking period. The policy states, “The minimum marking period grade assigned to a student will be a 55% except for the final marking period. The final marking period grade will be the actual grade.” We encourage all students to stay focused and finish the year strong!
     
  • Grade 8, save the date! 鶹Ӱ High School is hosting a  (May 29 at 5:30 p.m.) for all rising ninth graders. The event will introduce incoming students, and their families, to the campus and the wide variety of academic, athletic and extracurricular activities offered at AHS.
     
  • NEW DATE ALERT: North 鶹Ӱ's first Multi-Cultural Celebration is planned for May 8 (5-7 p.m.). We can't wait to celebrate the rich cultures that make up our school community but we need your help! Please  by April 27 if you're able to participate and feel free to email sdepass-murray@albany.k12.ny.us with any questions. We are looking for:
    • food donations
    • performances (dance, poetry, music)
    • arts and craft demonstrations
    • volunteers on the day of the event 
       
  • Our very own Caitlin Sweet curated an exhibit for Capital Region art educators. Check out her work, along with that of fellow NAMS art teacher Kara Tolmie here. Or, head up to Saratoga to take in the show in person through April 27!
     
  • The PTA would like to guage interest in family engagment opportunities during Saturday School. Please take a few moments to  so we can work together to make NAMS the best building possible for our students and staff.

  • Staff Appreciation Day is May 2 at NAMS and we can't wait to celebrate our hard-working faculty and staff. But we need your help! Please consider or to help make this important event a success!

  • NAMS is once again hosting Parent University. District ransportation will be the topic on Wednesday, April 23 beginning at 7 p.m. - please join us with your questions and concerns!
     
  • Earn money for North 鶹Ӱ Middle School's PTA simply by shopping at Hannaford! The Hannaford Helps Schools program runs through June 7. Shoppers will earn three school dollars for every four participating products purchased. At checkout, customers will receive a printout they can
     
  • Join our team! The City School District of 鶹Ӱ is hiring for a variety of positions. A list of employment  opportunities can be found on the Human Resources page of the district website.
     
  • North 鶹Ӱ Middle School families can receive shelf-stable grocery items every Friday. .  Email .ny.us or call 518.475.6800 x29190 with with questions.
