Students making plenty of holiday music in December

‘Tis the season for holiday concerts, and there are many opportunities in December to experience the talents of City School District of Â鶹ӰÒô musicians.

Here’s what’s ahead:

  • Wednesday, Dec. 4 – Â鶹ӰÒô High School Winter Concert featuring Symphonic Band, Vocal Music and Orchestra, 6:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, Dec. 5 -- Â鶹ӰÒô High School choral students performing at City of Â鶹ӰÒô annual tree-lighting ceremony, 5 p.m.
  • Friday, Dec. 6 – 1st Friday Concert and Art Show, Cathedral of All Saints, 6:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, Dec. 8 – Â鶹ӰÒô High choral students will perform with the Â鶹ӰÒô Symphony Orchestra at Troy City Music Hall, 7:30 p.m. 
  • Monday, Dec. 9
    • Eagle Point Elementary Winter Concert, 6:30 p.m.
    • New Scotland Elementary Winter Concert, Hackett Middle School, 6:30 p.m.
    • Thomas O’Brien Academy of Science and Technology Winter Concert for grades 4-6, 6:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Dec. 10
    • Giffen Memorial Elementary Winter Concert, 5:30 p.m.
    • North Â鶹ӰÒô Middle School Winter Concert, 6 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Dec. 11
    • Â鶹ӰÒô High Winter Concert featuring the Wind Ensemble, Select Choir and Advanced Orchestra, 6:30 p.m.
    • Pine Hills Elementary Winter Concert, 6 p.m.
  • Thursday, Dec. 12
    • Arbor Hill Elementary Winter Concerts, 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.
    • Delaware Community School Winter Concert at Hackett Middle School, 6 p.m.
    • Myers Middle School Winter Concert, 6:30 p.m.
  • Friday, Dec. 13 – Thomas O’Brien Academy of Science and Technology Winter Concert for prekindergarten-grade 3
  • Monday, Dec. 16
    • Â鶹ӰÒô School of Humanities Winter Concert, 6:30-7:30 p.m.
    • Philip Schuyler Achievement Academy Winter Concerts, 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Dec. 17 
    • Hackett Middle School Winter Concert and PTA Dessert Raffle, 6:30 p.m.
    • Montessori Magnet School Winter Concert, 6:30 p.m.
    • O’Neal Middle School Winter Concerts, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
    • Â鶹ӰÒô High School choirs will perform holiday songs in a concert sponsored by the Â鶹ӰÒô Public Library Foundation, Main Branch on Washington Avenue, 12:15-1:15 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Dec. 18 – Snow date for Â鶹ӰÒô High concerts, 6:30 p.m.
  • Friday, Dec. 20 – Arbor Hill Elementary Pre-K Holiday Concert, 2-3 p.m.
