It’s Computer Science Education Week, and TOAST students in grades 2-6 are celebrating by spending an hour on a coding project of their choice.
On Monday, Superintendent Kaweeda G. Adams, Â鶹ӰÒô County Executive Dan McCoy and district technology coordinator John Wyld joined second- and third-graders in Deb Whipple’s computer class at an Hour of Code.
The group talked about how technology affects their everyday lives, then the younger students taught the older ones about coding – the language that acts as a bridge between the human mind and a computer.
The Hour of Code will continue at TOAST through the week, as well as in schools throughout the U.S. and worldwide.
